About Me
I am humbled and honored to be entering my 6th school year at FLEX High School of Columbus and 3rd school year as the school leader. It is with great joy to be a leader of a school where students are our priority. With parents and community as key stakeholders and supporters, FLEX High of Columbus has been fortunate to provide a holistic, trauma-sensitive high achieving academic culture for students.
As a native of Columbus, Ohio, I joined FLEX High of Columbus in its opening year. Since, I have become school leader, I have overseen the incorporation of additional programming such as adult education, the opening of a second resource center in the Milo-Grogan area, and am a charter founding member of FLEX High School of Cleveland. With over fifteen years in the education field, I have held numerous positions at the secondary and post-secondary levels. My work has primarily focused on dropout prevention and recovery school administration. I have also been an adjunct professor at two local colleges and a digital course designer for international college courses/projects at another.
When I am not at Flex High of Columbus, I enjoy spending time with my three children, extended family, and friends. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Education and Communications from Denison University, Ohio; my Master’s in Curriculum and Instructional Design from University of Phoenix and completed my doctoral coursework at Walden University.
